Members can now reset their own passwords.
On the login page there is a link to enable reseting your password.
Just enter your username and click the "Send My Details" button.
You will then recieve an email to the address we have listed on the website, it contains
your newly reset password, you can then login and change it for a more memorable one.

Members can now change their own email addresses, please update your email addresses if it ever changes.

Several members have requested to have their usernames changed to a more preferable one.
Until now this was not possible. However I have now written a script to allow you to change your own usernames.
This can be done in the Members Only area, immediately below the password change link.
Please Note: Once you change either your password or username you will be logged out.
Therefore you will have to log back in using your new password and / or username.

Added a form for organising a rideout, this can be found on the "Members Only" page.
The form link is entitled "Organising a Rideout".
Anyone wanting to organise a rideout and have it placed on the events page should use this form.
This will automatically inform the road captains and the webmaster.
It will also make the organisation of all rideouts consistant, and, easier for everyone involved.
It will also save you having to put an email together and emailing it to the webmaster.

1) Added membership renewal date on the members only page, just in case your forgetful like me.
You will also be automatically emailed within the preceding 7 days of membership expiry each time you login, until a new renewal date is set.
2) Also added an events legend, click the Legend link at the bottom of the events page to see what the colours mean.

1) There seemed to be some confusion when logging into the website and the forum.
Therefore the Forum button has been hidden until you are logged into the website.
Want to get to the forum? follow these steps:
a) Log into the website with the username and password that was emailed to you.
(Note: Once logged in you will have complete access to the whole website)
b) Click on the Forum button and log into the forum as before.
2) As there isn't any Chapter specific information on the
General Interest page a button has
been placed in the menu bar on the left, this can be accessed now without being logged
into the website.

As you can see, there has been a major overhaul of the Essex Chapter website.
You should have, or will recieve your username and password by email, please be patient,
this info has to be entered manually.
The password you will recieve will be a random set of characters, use this to login, then change
your password to something more memorable, this can be done in the Members Only section.
You should not give your password to anyone, keep it secret, keep it safe. If you lose your password an
administrator, myself or Vincent can reset it for you, they are encrypted so we cannot tell you what it is.
Note:This is completely seperate from the forum.
There are a few changes you should be aware of.
If you need to login to view certain areas you will be asked for your username and password automatically.
Once logged in the buttons on the left menu bar gain extra functionality and can be used to get chapter specific info.
Once you are logged in you should stay logged in, until you hit the Logout button on the left menu bar.
Chapter only events (green) can only be seen once you are logged in.
Chapter only information can only be seen once you are logged in.
Please logout when your finished.

You will then be able to access the site from your work/friends computer with your own login.
