When William Harley together with Arthur & Walter Davidson realised their dream and started the now world famous Harley-Davidson Motor Company in a wooden shed in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. You would have to wonder if they had any idea of the impression this company would place on the world. Although the first prototypes were around as early as 1901, the very first production Harley-Davidson rolled of the production line in 1903. Harley-Davidson celebrated it's 100th Birthday in 2003, believed to be the only Motorcycle Company to be in production for 100 years.

The Harley Owners Group, or HOG as its known, is the worlds largest factory sponsored owners organisation. First formed in America in 1983, Worldwide H.O.G. membership reached 250,000 in 1994; one-half million in 1999. Today, membership is at 900,000-plus, and growing fast! The Essex Chapter of HOG is one of the largest and longest running U.K. Chapters, now in its Seventeenth year, with nearly 300 family memberships.
